FOREX Training:

Learn how to trade FOREX

by working with a

Professional FX Trader!

Def: FOREX. The "Retail Off Exchange Foreign Currency", "Foreign Exchange" or simpley "FX" Market.

Its one thing to read how to calculate pivot points or exponetial moving averages, but its critical that you see how they, and the other indicators (like MACD, Stochastics or RSI), work together in real-time.

FxBootcamp is different because we're not selling a "system". Our Currency Coaches train you in the live market. How many "experts" are willing to coach you in real time, pip by pip, candle by candle? Not many.

Our self guided training course clearly outlines our conservative trading methodology. Each trading session in the FxBootcamp Online Classroom, we conduct technical and fundamental analysis and teach you how to training course material into action. We guide you throughout throughout the entire 12 hour trading day. This is the kind of discipline that I believe is the most helpful to new traders.

In general, we have three trading goals:

(1) Capital Preservation. Control our risk so we can live to trade again. In military terms; "Survive at all costs".

(2) Capital Acquisition. Start with a plan in mind; a "Minimal Acceptable Performance" for each of your trades. Even just 15 pips. In a volatile market such as forex, substantial losses may occur. So its best to plan coservative trading goals . Try to wait for setups that may yeild 30-45 pips so your chances of achieving "MAP" are realisistic. In military terms; plan to "Achieve the Mission".

(3) Capital Appriciation. If you've been lucky enough to protect "MAP", try to let your profits run. Once 15 pips are protected with a stop-loss, you can be a little more agressive with your profit targets. Perhaps you can reach the full average daily range, the 161.8% fibonacci extension or the R2 Pivot Point. In military terms; with "MAP" achieved, you can now focus on trying to "Win the War".

Currency Coaches are traders just like you. Many members consider Fx Bootcamp like an internship or apprenticeship in the currency department of a bank. You learn by trading under the guidance of a Senior Trader.

Investing in FOREX can be quite risky. However, FOREX can also be a successful business. If you treat it like a business, then you can build and grow it over time. Like a business you need to plan and then exucute that plan. We will teach these business like methods and how to apply them to your trading career.

We'll trade the opening of the US session together. The online classroom will open early so that we can review the currency charts and economic calendar before things really heat up.

We teach you how to think for yourself. NOTE: CURRENCY COACHES DO NOT GIVE TRADE SIGNALS. You will learn how to trade successfully on your own, without the need for advice. Of course, results are not guaranteed and individual experiences may vary.

Please note: Unique experiences and past performances do not guarantee future results! Testimonials herein are unsolicited and are non-representative of all clients; certain accounts may have worse performance than that indicated. Trading spot currencies involves substantial risk and there is always the potential for loss. Your trading results may vary. Because the risk factor is high in the foreign exchange market trading, only genuine "risk" funds should be used in such trading. If you do not have the extra capital that you can afford to lose, you should not trade in the foreign exchange market. No "safe" trading system has ever been devised, and no one can guarantee profits or freedom from loss.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

What time does it start?

The Live FOREX Training starts at 8am Tokyo (23:00 GMT) and goes until 5pm London time: over 12 hours per day.

Are Entries & Exits discussed?

Yes they are. But only in the context of "why". The point is to learn. Currency Coaches never tell you when to pull the trigger. That a critical part of the learning process.
For example, Coaches may explain that they see the potential for a "Head & Shoulders" pattern a couple hours before it happens. They explain why. They would then explain, if it does form, what will likely happen. Currency Coaches would then explain the general rules for trading a Head & Shoulders pattern, discussing necklines, center crowns, and varies entry and exit strategies for conservative and aggressive trading styles. This is all BEFORE it happens.

You must implement the strategy. FX Bootcamp simply teaches you technical analysis, fundamental analysis and trader psychology in the live forex market. The goal is that, over time, you will become a better trader by helping you develop good trading habits.

I'm a novice, do you teach me the basics too?

Yes. FX Bootcamp has an Online Training Course. It assumes that you know nothing. It gives you a new lesson each day for you to study on your own time, outside of the live forex training classes.

The online training will take you a couple of months to complete. It covers technical analysis, fundamental analysis, macro/global economics, planning, risk/money management, taxes... even how to setup your charts to look just like ours.

Do I need to pay for other software or datafeeds?

Generally... no. However, we do use some 3rd party tools. If you want to use them too, you'll need to pay for them. Demos or Trials are available.  However, everything needed to learn how to trade forex at FX Bootcamp is covered in the Monthly Membership dues.

What actually happens when I login to attend the live training?

You login anytime FX Bootcamp is open. The actual charts the coaches are using will "Pop Up" on your computer. You can see the charts in real-time. We can draw on them as the coaches are going through their analysis. You hear their voice as they talk. You can ask them questions by typing. You can even chat with the other members... currently from 50 countries around the world.

What is a CTA? What is the NFA?

A CTA, or Commodities Trading Advisor, is an individual which advises others as to the value of or the advisability of buying or selling futures contracts, commodity options and or spot currencies..
CTAs are required to be members of the National Futures Association and must meet stringent fitness requirements, including providing fingerprint cards and pass background checks. In addition, they must pass comprehensive proficiency testing requirements.

National Futures Association (NFA) is the industry wide, self-regulatory organization for the U.S. futures industry. They develop rules, programs and services that safeguard market integrity, protect investors and help our Members meet their regulatory responsibilities. FX Bootcamp's NFA ID is #0376040.

What currency pairs do you trade?

We watch all the major currencies: British Pound (GBP), European Union Euro (EUR), Swiss Franc (CHF) and the Japanese Yen (JPY).

We also watch two commodity currencies: the Australian Dollar has a high correlation to the price of Gold and the Canadian Dollar has a high correlation to the price of Oil. My opinion is that Gold and Oil are other forms of money and should be included in our currency market analysis.
What kinds of trades do you look for?

We teach a conservative and repeatable trading methodology. Each trade has a Minimal Acceptable Performance (MAP). WE look for trade setups that should yield 30-45 pips. Therefore, even a less than perfect trade should achieve not less than 15 pips. Please note that M stands for MINIMUM. It’s not a goal or target.

How long have you been trading forex?

I started trading FOREX back in 2001. Despite "FOREX MADE EASY" commercials, I was under no impression that FOREX would be simple. Therefore, I traded on a demo account for over two years. I traded before, after and (shhh) at work! I finally quit my job, which I loved, and became a full-time FOREX trader.

I quickly found out that trading alone was the greatest threat to my FOREX business. The isolation and odd hours were killing me. FOREX is LONELY! So I started FX Bootcamp. I now have a whole community of forex traders and we help each other succeed everyday.

What is your professional background?

I'm a successful entrepreneur that was big in the Startup days of the Silicon Valley. I then became a Venture Capitalist, having made 100 investments into ideas that were protected by patents. I managed a team of 5 other investors. The firm had 300 employees.

I've never traded anything besides FOREX. Nothing in the finance world ever interested me outside of starting, funding and launching companies. However, buying and selling money just made sense to me. I then read that 95% of new traders lose money. Compared to "one out of a million" odds in the startup world, I thought 5% was GREAT!

As a Currency Coach, I am a speaker at all the major FOREX conferences and expos. My videos are syndicated around the world and have been viewed 100,000+ times. You may have seen me in the National Post, TechWeek, Interactive Week, Inc Magazine and others globally. I also conduct free webinars at http://www.fxstreet.com

What is the background of the other Currency Coaches?

The Currency Coaches at FX Bootcamp have been trained by FX Bootcamp and its conservative/repeatable trade methodology for 1 year.  The Currency Coaching team has a diverse background, from institutional side of the business in International Banking, to FOREX Account Management to statistical analysis.  Each coach also manages his own private forex account.  Coaches are traders just like you.

Do you trade the news?

Yes. As an active forex trader, it is almost unavoidable. In FOREX, there are scheduled economic reports released almost everyday. One way or another, they effect the currency markets. FX Bootcamp has developed a conservative method of trading AROUND these reports.

We do not trade the immediate reaction to the news... its too risky. Trading the volatility after a news release has some unique risks associated with it, including:

    • Whipsaws
    • Slippage
    • Gapping
    • Wide Spreads

At FX Bootcamp, the Currency Coaches explain what the economic report is, read the results when they are announced, conduct some fundamental analysis & wait for the market volatility to subside.

Another feature of FX Bootcamp is that we get the news live and instantly, before most traders see the number on Bloomberg or CNBC. This is an audio service provided by http://tradethenews.com

What time frames do you watch?

By in large, the 15 minute chart. However, coaches will switch from 3 min, 5 min, 15 min, 1 hour, 4 hour, daily and weekly charts constantly. This allows for spot, swing and carry trading analysis.

Do you do forex training in the European or Asia sessions?

Yes we do. FX Bootcamp starts in the Asian Session at 8am Tokyo Time(2300GMT). We continue through the European Session and into the US Session.

Do you have any testimonies I can review?

We certainly do, but be warned.  Past results do not predict future performance.  Nor do we believe FX Bootcamp is for everyone.  Some people find it frustrating that we don’t tell them what to do or when to pull the trigger.

Audio testimonials from actual members are provided on this web page… just scroll up.  I figured hearing their voices would be more powerful than a written statement. However, you probably still won't believe them anyways! :-)

The best thing to do, in that case, is to see my reviews in public forums not influenced by us... agreed? FXstreet Forums
